A Little About Me!

Hello everyone and Welcome to Grade 4! My name is Alexandra Schwarz and this is my first year teaching at St. Jude's Academy.

I had always known since I was a little girl that I want to inspire and teach others. I was the child who helped other friends and my sister complete their homework, and ensure their understanding of the subject. I have a passion to make people smile and the greatest reward for me is when children have an "ah ha!" moment. Through a positive learning environment, mutual respect and having fun, I believe children will be inspired to fulfill their dreams, and be successful in their lives.

I went to York University and received my Bachelor of Arts with a focus on Religious Studies. Once I completed my 4 years at York, I completed my Bachelor of Professional Studies (also known as my Bachelor of Education) at Niagara University. Last year, I taught math to grades 3 to 7 incorporating technology, discussions and use of math manipulatives in my lessons.

On my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym, reading, watching movies, being outdoors and spending time with my family and friends. I have a dog named Mia and a cat named Molly who are the best of friends, and mean the world to me!
