TGIF!!

The Grade 6s are holding a Candy Sale next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Students are encouraged to participate in the sale buy purchasing a few pieces of candy. All proceeds from the sale are going to the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

The Grade Ones will be turning their classrooms into grocery stores for our Organization unit. The students have been working really hard to stock it full of healthy snacks and drinks. On Tuesday Jan. 17th we will be opening our stores to SJA classes to purchase healthy snacks and drinks for $1-2. All proceeds will be donated to the Sick Kids Hospital.

January 20th is International Day at SJA. Parents, family and friends are welcomed to join us at 2:30 to enjoy the different cultures we have researched.

UOI: We had our Global Awareness assignment presentations! So intriguing to hear about all the different milestones and issues different religions and cultures face! We begin our summative project on Monday. Students DO NOT have to complete anything at home. They are encouraged to think about the project over the weekend so they can begin on Monday.

Math: Today we played around the world. Students challenged each other with different multiplication questions. Congratulations to Suhana for winning!   We will be having a multiplication quiz next Thursday Jan. 19th from multiples 1 to 3.
