Happy Tuesday!

Bake sale is on again tomorrow!
Food drive starts Thursday! Bring in an non-perishable food item!

If you are participating in ArtReach please bring in an old t-shirt to wear over your uniform!

UOI:   We are working on our summative assignments.

Math:  Today we continued working on finding area. We estimated different areas and found the area of polygons such as triangles by counting squares. Two half squares equals one square so we count it as one.

Math:  Today we worked on finding area and noticing the different between area and perimeter. Students have a grasp that perimeter finds the measurement of the outside of an object and the area is measuring the inside surface. We also learned that area can be measures in squared centimetres.

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday!

Today has been a very relaxed day.


Math: We raced car to measure their distance in centimetres and in metres.  We first estimated the distance we thought it would travel and then found the actual distance using a metre stick. Students have a few worksheets to complete over the weekend to convert unit of measurement.

For the rest of the day we watched Anne of Green Gables and ate popcorn! It was a perfect Friday afternoon!

Two days left in the week!

ARTReach is on Dec 1st! Students who have registered are asked to bring in an old t-shirt to wear over their uniform.

Today we worked again on Science fair all day. Parents are welcomed to join us and see our display boards at 2:40 on Thursday! Our display boards are done and most of the students have practiced what they will say during their time with the judge.  Please bring in your science fair projects tomorrow so they can be judged.







French: Students must study for their french spelling test on Friday and sign their previous test.

Students are to complete some good copies for homework today as we will be working on our display boards tomorrow and Wednesday.

Happy Friday!

Today we have scientist in the school. We all had a great time! We were able to hear different sounds, volumes and pitches. Best part of all we got to make pan flutes!


































Science Fair:  Students must complete their final experiment this weekend and observations. Students are also asked to graph their experiments by following the examples below.  I will look over all of the graphs on Monday to check of accuracy.
