Good Evening Parents and Students!

UOI: Today we began our UOI unit. Students have been put into pairs and they have picked the province or territory that they will create a presentation on. The project is due on Oct 28, and they will be receiving time in class to complete the assignment. Students will begin their research tomorrow in class, so if possible please send them with a personal device. Please reread the expectations with your child so they better understand the task.



Math: Today in math we learned about subtracting equations. Students saw the relationship between adding and subtracting equations, as well as the pattern when we write all the related equations. Please use the links below to practice the lessons we learned as well as the extra practice sheets you will find attached. The unit is coming to an end and there will be a math test on Monday

Spelling: Spelling lesson 5 and our spelling test will be on Friday

Language: Today we began our Daily 3. Students will now work in groups three times a week working on spelling, the writing piece we are working on, or working with me learning new was to comprehend books and to effectively retell the story.

PARENT GUILD MOVIE NIGHT! Tickets are only $10 and kids are able to wear their PJs! It's a great opportunity for the kids to get out and for you parents too! Ticket purchases are due by Friday October 14th!
