Good evening everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, and we are fresh for this new week at school!

Today we completed out Learner Profile Art, and began writing a little bit about ourselves. At home, please work with the children with writing. They can put their spelling words into sentences, or write a silly paragraph incorporating all the words. Please ensure that the kids use capital letters at the beginning of sentences and periods at the end.

Students have been informed about a spelling test on Friday. You may notice that there are some grade 4 and grade 5 words. This is because some students have already completed the grade 4 workbook last year. The students who are working on the grade 5 workbook know who they are. We will be starting the spelling unit tomorrow.

In our UOI unit, which we will be begin this week, we are learning about Canada. We will be filling our UOI board with post cards from different provinces and territories in Canada. Students are encouraged to ask friends and/or family that live in another province or territory to send them a post card to add to our UOI board. 

Reminders:
-Welcome BBQ is on Thursday and the order forms are due by Wednesday
-Spelling test on Friday
-Please sign your child's agenda every night
-Please send your child's gym uniform to school everyday! Our class has gym with Mr. H everyday after lunch.
