Tomorrow is Casual day. If you have not paid please send your child with $2 and they don't have to wear their uniforms.

There will be a Yoga House Game on Friday!

Thursday is our well deserved PIZZA PARTY! Please pack your children snacks and a drink as lunch will be served.

UOI: Today we learned how to high light important information that we read about the Arctic. Students were able to summarize the material and have learned that finding the important points allows for easier studying.

We would also like to  fill our UOI board with post cards from different provinces and territories in Canada. Students are encouraged to ask friends and/or family that live in another province or territory to send them a post card to add to our UOI board. We would love to add some to our board!

Math: We solved word problems by using an organized list. Students worked in groups at the beginning of the lesson and solved a problem with whatever strategy worked best for them and presented it to the class. We saw correct answers, incorrect answers but most importantly different methods to solve the problem. Tomorrow we will begin out Unit problem, which will be completed on Friday. Monday we will begin out second unit in math. 

Spelling: Students have began Lesson 3 which is due on Friday. Spelling test is on Friday as well.

French: Students have a french spelling test on Friday.

Music: Students are asked to use their white music folders to review musical notes and practice their recorders. Please return these folders daily.

Anne of Green Gables: Today we read chapter 6 and 7. We have learned that Anne is a very honest young girl who is very feisty. She is very open-minded and caring toward those she really loves. Please complete the worksheets for chapter 6 and 7 for homework tonight.
