We all enjoyed our first day back with a "one truth, and one lie" game, as well as a house game in the afternoon.
The students had French in the morning, and then music almost right after that. New students had a tour of the school with the help of returning students. It was really helpful to have the returning students since I am new this year as well.
All students have been extremely respectful and are delightful to talk with. We co-constructed a set of classroom rules, and since the children had plenty of stories, I hope to set up a Teacher's mailbox by next week so students can share their weekend stories through notes.
The house game was a water bottle relay. Students were given panty hose with a tennis ball at the end of toes of the panty hose. They placed the pantyhose just over the top of their head, and had to knock over a water bottle. The kids had a great time!
A few reminders:
-Lunch order forms for September at due by Friday.
-$2 pizza slices are on sale everyday this week
-Students should read everyday for 30 minutes. Students are encouraged to read whatever piece of literature they are interested in.
-Recorders for Mr. Andrei need to be brought in by Friday. For more information please email me.
